First Time Doin' A Devlog
Mark » Devlog
This is the first update with significant changes, so I wanted to catalogue them.
First of all, you've got a reason to run around the scene now! The story foundation is implemented and there's an actual start screen now. For now, the plan is to just have a timer toward "5 o'clock" until your progress is checked and you get an ending. "Ending" meaning you go to the concert with the people you befriended and you get a little reflection of how the characters "see you." It's simple, but it's purely emergent, and its narrative value is dependent on your interpretation, which were the goals after all.
Other important fixes:
- The controls have been tuned dramatically
- Most of the dialogue for the characters has been imported (although you still can't access all of it)
- Sword pickup actually works now and breaks yellow things
- The places where you can get stuck have been mostly fixed
- Pause button with (currently empty) menu
Plans for tomorrow:
- Making the end condition happen
- Finish the pause menu
- Graybox (or ig brownbox in this case) the rest of the space so its fully traversable
- GET THE ART IN THERE
